Last weekend, while I was in Boston, my fellow aerial arts students put on a show!
I’d have been there if I could have. Thankfully, we live in an age of instant video, so I still get to see the highlights. Congratulations to Caitlin, Celeste, Chris, Erika, Jacki, Maddie, Maia, Mairi, and Maya for a job beautifully done. You can leave compliments for them here or at the YouTube page. Or both!
Here’s proof (which I’ve posted before) that I can do something similar. But maybe not quite as gracefully as some of these other people:
Your latest two titles have left me completely surprised at the article content. This must be a good thing. I thought “Price of a Haircut” would be about some simple example involving tens of dollars. Instead it’s heavy macro stuff involving billions and a financial crisis.
Then, I thought “Defying Gravity” would be some heavy macro stuff about Europe – involving billions and a financial crisis. Instead, it’s about gymnastics.
Looking forward to the next post/title combination :-)
Perhaps the coolest thing was that I learned that at least one (I suspect more) of them only started learning their craft in August! Very cool showcase indeed.
“This summer, 24-year old Seanna Sharpe did an illegal acrobatics show 285 feet up the Williamsburg bridge (11 stories over rush hour train traffic) hanging from the double-silk cloud swing she invented.”
Jon Shea: I’d seen this earlier, and meant (and then forgot) to link to it. Thanks for reminding me.
I would hope that video had already circulated through the aerial acrobatics community!
